May Flowers

It has been a while since my last blog post!
I'm not very good at being consistent, haha...
Instead of trying to write long posts, maybe I should be okay with shorter ones! And instead of structure, I should let myself ramble!
So, here is to a hopefully brief, rambling, May blog post.

This May started off as a hard one for me. A part of it is definitely missing Japan (I was there in March and April), but another part is a fear of failure.
The last event I had traded at was in February, and it didn't go as well as I had hoped. With a lot of events now coming up, I'm definitely anxious for things to go well.
At the beginning of May, I did trade at my local university's Japan Day event! The table was free, which is good as I didn't sell all that much. I enjoyed just being there, though, as the performances were fun. Plus, I had a friend helping me out, so it was good having the company.
Towards the end of May, I had a local event and didn't make any profit... the cost of the table was definitely too high. And the number of resin/3D print/AI stuff was incredibly disappointing to see. Of the artists I did see, I couldn't afford to buy from them!
Actually experiencing that failure, though, meant that a lot of the sadness I had been feeling is gone. I suppose in my head, it can't get worse. And I still survived! I'm still going!
And all of that is why I have named this blog post 'May Flowers'. It comes from the saying 'April Showers Bring May Flowers'. My showers kind of ate into May, too, but I'm now staying hopeful that many flowers will be coming my way.
